WPT is Wisconsin's Home for Independent Film on Saturday Nights
A new season of independent films with Wisconsin connections begins this Saturday with the statewide premiere of "Last Day at Lambeau" on Director's Cut from Wisconsin Public Television (WPT), Wisconsin's home for independent film.
"Last Day at Lambeau" (10 p.m. Saturday, May 14) tells the story of the fractured relationship between Brett Favre and the Green Bay Packers after his departure from the team in 2008. The film features interviews with reporters who cover the team, play-by-play announcers Wayne Larrivee and Paul Allen and members of the Packers' tight-knit fan base.
The new season of Director's Cut, which airs Saturday nights on WPT, presents a showcase of independent films, featuring a range of genres, from documentary to comedy and drama. Each episode includes a conversation with a filmmaker or actor from the films, followed by a full-length broadcast of their film.
2016 Director's Cut Broadcast Schedule:
10 p.m. May 14 – "Last Day at Lambeau" by Michael Neelsen
10 p.m. May 21 – "Detroit Unleaded" featuring actor Mike Batayeh
10 p.m. May 28 – "Angel's Perch" by J.T. Arbogast
The schedule for the remaining films will be announced later
