WPT Auction Invites Viewers Bid on Travel Packages and More

Auction Travel Night offering a variety of trips and get­away packages in Wisconsin and throughout the United States. Items up for bid include a two-night stay at Lake of the Torches Resort and Casino, Wisconsin Dells Fun Packs and a two-night Baraboo Bluffs condo stay. Auction Showcase, beginning at 7 p.m. Sunday, June 5, is the time to bid on a variety of big-ticket items — art, jewelry, travel packages, sports tickets, and things for the home and office. Items up for bid include a two-night stay at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, a combination suite getaway at the Kalahari Waterpark Resort Convention Center, and a certificate for a natural stone and epoxy floor from Nature Stone of Wisconsin. Viewers can watch a preview the Auction Showcase items at 9 p.m. Friday, May 27, 8:30 p.m. Sunday, May 29 and 6 p.m. Sunday, June 5.  This year's Commemorative Artist is Mikel Kelley of Mount Horeb. His unique ceramic pieces will be available throughout the Auction. Artwork from other artists and antiques items also will be available every day. Proceeds support WPT programs, outreach initiatives and events that serve to enrich the Wisconsin community. Friends of WPT organizes the auction as part of its role as the citizen-support group for WPT in south-central Wisconsin. WPT is a service of the Educational Communications Board and the University of Wisconsin-Extension.
