The four performances By Five by Design, Randy Sabien and the Fiddlehead Band, Bill Miller, and Bach Dancing & Dynamite Society were recorded during the past year and include a bold and diverse mix of swing music, rock 'n' roll, native sounds, jazz, classical and country influences. Presented in high definition on WPT's flagship channel, the concert series airs at 9 p.m. for four Mondays, beginning July 2 with the vintage vocal swing of Five by Design. The full lineup and schedule includes:9 p.m. Monday, July 2 – Five By Design, performing live at the State Theater in Eau Claire - Five By Design includes Lorie Carpenter-Niska, Kurt Niska, Michael Swedberg and Terrence Niska who have been singing together since 1986. Hailing from the Eau Claire region and based in Minnesota's Twin Cities, Five By Design combines warm, well-rounded signature vocals with vintage fashions and a bit of theatrical panache. 9 p.m. Monday, July 9 – Randy Sabien and the Fiddlehead Band, performing live at the Grand Theater in Wausau - Strings educator, jazz master, music author and record producer, Randy Sabien is also one of those rare talents to be hailed as both a violinist and a fiddler. A Wisconsin native, Sabien and his Fiddlehead Band pays homage to the history of American roots string playing while stretching beyond contemporary conventions 9 p.m. Monday, July 16 – Bill Miller in Concert, live from the Pump House Regional Arts Center in La Crosse - Whether painting a picture with his carefully chosen words or wielding a brush to place colors on canvas, Bill Birdsong Miller always creates from a vibrant emotional palette. Drawing from his own life experiences as well as centuries of tradition, Miller is an artist of considerable depth. A three-time Grammy winning singer/songwriter as well as an acclaimed speaker and gifted painter, Miller is the quintessential American artist. His artistry not only reflects his Native American heritage, but personifies the American experience. 9 p.m. Monday, July 23 – Bach Dancing & Dynamite Society performing live from the Stoughton Opera House - Bach Dancing & Dynamite Society is now in its 20th season of bringing chamber music with a bang to enthusiastic audiences in Madison and south-central Wisconsin. Since 1992, flutist Stephanie Jutt and pianist Jeffrey Sykes have been inviting other world-class musicians to join them in a three-week summer festival that puts the element of "play" back into chamber music, showing that chamber music concerts, often serious to the point of stuffiness, can be both serious and fun at the same time.
