Wisconsin Public Television's (WPT) largest fundraising event, Auction, invites viewers to take part in the fun and become the winning bidder on a wide variety of merchandise and services from Wisconsin businesses and individuals.

There is still time to enter this year's 10-category juried and judged 2016 Quilt Expo Quilt Contest. Quilters are invited to enter up to four quilts in the contest, which awards cash prizes for Best of Show, first-, second- and third-place honors in each of the 10 categories, and a Viewers' Choice award, selected from the entries by Quilt Expo attendees. Quilt Contest entries must be submitted by June 30.

Wisconsin Public Television (WPT) will broadcast a new documentary from award-winning journalist Frederica Freyberg that explores the rise in gun violence in Wisconsin's largest city. Too Many Candles: Milwaukee Gun Violence premieres 7 p.m. Monday, May 9 on WPT. The documentary will also stream online in full at wpt.org beginning the day of broadcast. The film will air on Milwaukee Public Television 8 p.m. Tuesday June 14.

With dazzling lights, advanced pyrotechnic effects, a flying bandleader and all of the favorite Badger songs, the University of Wisconsin Varsity Band returns to Wisconsin Public Television (WPT) 7 p.m. Saturday, April 30, for the annual spring concert. Under the direction of Michael Leckrone, this year's show, "We've Done It Our Way," celebrates the University of Wisconsin Band legacy with Badger spirit favorites, energetic medleys and special guest artists.

Wisconsin Supreme Court candidates Rebecca Bradley and JoAnne Kloppenburg will discuss issues central for their run for a seat on the state's highest court in a debate that be will be broadcast statewide 7 p.m. Friday, March 18.
