PBS Wisconsin Education is excited to launch the newest addition to the Wisconsin Biographies collection. Electa Quinney: Mohican Teacher and Mentor was created in collaboration with the Stockbridge Munsee Community to share Quinney’s legacy of generosity and her dedication to education.  

Wisconsin suffers intense racial disparities exposed in common differences between the daily lives of its Black and white residents. A history of racism in the criminal justice and education systems, how these issues are locally unique, as well as efforts to right these wrongs, are explored in Wisconsin in Black & White, a PBS Wisconsin journalism project created in partnership with the Nehemiah Center for Urban Leadership Development.

PBS Wisconsin Education and Wisconsin School Music Association (WSMA) have expanded their Re/sound: Songs of Wisconsin classroom media collection to include jazz vocalist Marcya Daneille and electro-soul-infused hip-hop artist Kellen “Klassik” Abston.

PBS Wisconsin Education is proud to introduce a new addition to Meet The Lab, a collection of online learning resources developed in collaboration with research labs on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus. This collection is designed to introduce middle school students to cutting-edge research and develop their identities in science.

PBS Wisconsin announced Alison Loewen from the Mead Public Library as one of the 14 early education professionals named to the 2023 honorees of the PBS KIDS Early Learning Champions program. The awards, established in 2018, recognize and celebrate passionate educators who work with the nation’s youngest students, from infants to second graders.
