PBS Wisconsin Education has released a new Wisconsin Biographies story titled Milly Zantow: Recycling Revolutionary. Wisconsin Biographies is a collection of free educational, online media resources to share the stories of notable Wisconsinites and enrich grade school social studies and literacy curriculum. Milly Zantow: Recycling Revolutionary is available online at pbswisconsineducation.org. Created as part of the Wisconsin Hometown Stories: Sauk Prairie project, this new Wisconsin Biographies story explores the life of Milly Zantow, a courageous changemaker in the world of recycling.

As winter settles over Wisconsin, the 27th-annual PBS Wisconsin Garden & Landscape Expo brings a bit of spring-like warmth to the Exhibition Hall at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison Feb. 7-9. Event hours are: noon to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9.

In the all-new PBS Wisconsin special, Michael Perry: Where I Come From, the bestselling Wisconsin author, humorist and musician shares stories of growing up in rural Wisconsin, revealing how his family, friends and life experiences shaped his work.

For 50 years, Professor Michael Leckrone led the University of Wisconsin-Madison bands, providing the energy and school spirit for major sporting events, cultivating the lasting traditions of the annual Spring Varsity Band Concerts and inspiring generations of students who marched and performed under his direction.

The new public television documentary Wisconsin Hometown Stories: Sauk Prairie premieres on Wisconsin Public Television 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29.
