Ma'iingan, Ojibwe for "wolf," plays an essential role in the creation traditions of the native and tribal communities surrounding Lake Superior. From the beginning, Ma'iingan walked in tandem with Anishinaabe, or Original Man, before they diverged into separate but parallel paths that have remained connected through time.

Wisconsin Public Television Education has released a new Wisconsin Biographies story titled Joe Bee Xiong: War to Peace. Wisconsin Biographies is a collection of free educational, online media resources that uses the stories of famous Wisconsinites to enrich grade school social studies and literacy curriculum.
