New PBS Wisconsin Documentary Explores Legacy of Shipwrecks on Great Lakes
On the bottom of Wisconsin’s Great Lakes lie the wrecks of over 700 ships. Each one tells a story about the state’s maritime history, the mariners that worked on them, the industries and communities they served, and the dangers of the unforgiving lakes. PBS Wisconsin’s newest documentary Shipwrecks! tells a story of exploration and takes viewers below the surface to an underwater museum of marvel. Shipwrecks! premieres 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30 on PBS Wisconsin.

Great Wisconsin Quilt Show Hosting Virtual Exhibit, “Racism: In the Face of Hate We Resist”
A special exhibit, “Racism: In the Face of Hate We Resist,” will be presented by Textile Center and Women of Color Quilters Network at the virtual 2021 Great Wisconsin Quilt Show. This international juried exhibit of 63 quilts shares the stories of resistance and fortitude that have been integral to the survival of Black people in America. In response to the murder of George Floyd, quilters expressed their grief, outrage and hope through stunning textile art.

PBS Wisconsin Education Partners with Wisconsin School Music Association for New Music Education Classroom Resource
PBS Wisconsin Education and the Wisconsin School Music Association (WSMA) have partnered with music educators to create a collection of classroom media resources featuring Wisconsin musicians from four distinct cultural groups, as they share a composition and discuss their musicianship, culture and identity. The resource titled, Re/sound: Songs of Wisconsin, is a collection of digital resources designed to help general music educators and learners in grades 4-8 explore the connections between music, culture and emotion.
