Pamela Boivin, a proud member of the Menominee Nation, is a dedicated mother, small business owner, and community advocate who brings purpose and care to every role she takes on. She serves as Chairwoman of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation Board and as a Program Manager at the Native CDFI Network, where she works to strengthen Native-led lenders and expand economic opportunity in underserved communities.

In addition to her professional work, Pamela helps run her family’s business, Boivin Excavating, and actively coaches youth volleyball, basketball and softball. She’s passionate about mentoring young athletes, supporting Native communities and creating spaces where people can thrive — whether on the field, in the classroom or through economic development.

Deidre Ann Caldwell (Lac Courte Oreilles Anishinaabe Tribe) is the Youth Advocate for the Menominee Indian Tribe. Deidre has twelve years of experience in the field of education as a youth services librarian, elementary teacher, paraprofessional and early head start teacher. She is an alumni of the College of Menominee Nation and has a Bachelor of Arts in Education, and degrees in biology and pre-nursing.

Deidre is an accomplished beadwork artist and owner of an online beadwork shop that honors traditional Anishinaabe woodland style while infusing it with contemporary expression. Through her art, she celebrates cultural identity, revitalization and the resilience of Indigenous peoples.

Deidre believes that empowering Native American children through fostering a love of learning and reading will strengthen their self-efficacy and build resilience to help them succeed in their educational journeys and beyond.

Jennifer Gauthier
Cultural Advisor, Women’s Traditional Dance Advisor, Appliqué Design Artist

Jennifer K. Gauthier is an enrolled member of the Menominee Nation located in what is now known as the state of Wisconsin. Jennifer earned a Master of Public Administration from University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She provides leadership to a number of different institutions on the Menominee Indian Reservation and across higher education spaces. Her career encompasses working with Tribes throughout the state and with other global Indigenous communities, building community through place-based knowing, and sharing language and culture in creative ways. At the core of Gauthier’s work is the integration of Menominee language and culture into all aspects of professional and everyday life. Jennifer is devoted to lifelong learning.

Justin Eagle Gauthier

From days of long ago, from uncharted regions of the universe, comes a legend . . . the legend of Jud, Defender of the Universe. A mighty artist, loved by good, feared by evil. Cinefile, chanteur, warrior-poet, raconteur, enabler, bon vivant, dramatist and sporadic user of French. Justin ‘Jud’ Gauthier isn’t really a grown-up, he just convincingly portrays one when necessary. As a Ronin and accomplished pizza-eater, Jud has seen every form of combustion known to man and is reportedly the last of the Meketrex supplicants. Appraised at worth a million in prizes, this strider of the boards was recently recruited by the Star League to defend the frontier against Xur and the Ko-Dan armada.

I am Wanānīkwew LaTender or Tail Feather Woman. Bald eagle is my clan and I am an enrolled member of the Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin. I am currently 27 years-old living in the woodlands of West Branch on the Menominee Reservation. Daniel Grignon is my partner, Cherry Grignon is my daughter and Ember Grignon is my son. Together, we are speakers of the Menomini Language and learners of the cultural ways of doing.

Our work as Language & Material Culture Revitalization Artists is to gain perspective into the authentic nature of Menomini life. We do this by creating artwork and experiences that are a translation of our unique culture.

Alex “Gokey” Menore
Woodland Floral Artist

Alex “Gokey” Menore Jr. is a Menominee mural artist from Neopit, Wisconsin. He is known for his portfolio of artworks, most of which can be found in community spaces across the Menominee Reservation. His use of Woodland Floral and Appliqué designs brings the tradition of Indigenous woodland arts into contemporary mediums, and makes his works unique when compared to other contemporary mural work. Gokey serves as the Woodland Floral and Appliqué Advisor on Powwow Bound: A Menominee Homecoming and has licensed a collection of his works to be used in the game.

Myron Pywasit/Smokeytown
Traditional Drum Music

Kno Mēkon (Myron Pyawasit) is a Menominee traditional drummer and singer from Zoar, Wisconsin. He currently leads the Smokeytown Singers drum circle, which was formed in 1972. Myron has been able to share his talents across North America, performing at powwows in the United States and Canada. He serves as the Traditional Drum Advisor for Powwow Bound: A Menominee Homecoming and has licensed drum music for the game from Smokeytown’s catalogue of recordings.
