Steven Potter:
I did ask the Baldwin campaign for one question, if they were to ask you, and it is related to your bank in California. They ask, "Why are foreign governments depositing money into your banks, or bank, and which ones?"

Eric Hovde:
First of all, I'm a bank. Every single bank in the country has depositors of all different kinds, individuals, corporations, and probably half the banks have some foreign government deposit. The deposit they're talking about is one tiny deposit. And do you know where that deposit comes through? Mellon, because Mellon is a giant financial institution, takes government deposits, and then because of their liquidity issues, they farm out smaller chunks of those deposits to community and regional banks all over the country. So I guess she's trying to damn the entire banking industry and the fact that we have one deposit that comes through Mellon, which is one of the biggest financial institutions in our country. Is something wrong with that? I highly doubt it.

Steven Potter:
I've asked each campaign to provide me one question for the other. And the Hovde campaign asks, "Given your authority in the Senate, do Wisconsin voters deserve transparency when it comes to your partner's assets to ensure no conflicts of interest?"

U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin:
I disclose everything that I'm required to disclose. I do it on an annual basis. I am not married.
