Salary: The starting hourly rate for the Media Program Supervisor position will be between $27.36 and $44.52 depending on the selected candidate’s previous experience and qualifications, plus excellent benefits. This classification is assigned to pay schedule/range 81-02. A 2-year trial period will be required.

The Educational Communications Board (ECB) is a state agency which delivers educational, noncommercial and public safety media via Wisconsin Public Radio and Wisconsin Public Television. The ECB is seeking an experienced Director of Field Engineering to lead and oversee the daily field operations and management for delivering and maintaining access to our statewide broadcast networks. Position Summary
The Director of Field Engineering acts as part of the ECB Engineering Leadership Team. This position provides administration and supervision of all ECB Regional Technical Managers (RTM) and their subordinate staffs and acts as the Agency’s primary safety and security coordinator. This position also manages field projects and acts as ECB’s primary contact with the Department of Facilities Development (DFD). Qualifications
Qualified applicants will have experience in the following:

  • Project management, especially projects related to tower construction/modification and high power Radio Frequency (RF) systems
  • Leadership and supervision (e.g. supervising staff or serving as lead worker)
  • Maintaining technologies related to broadcasting, including those related to distribution, transmission and remote control of television and radio distribution networks
  • Budget planning and management

In addition, well-qualified applicants will have experience

  • Applying National Electrical Code (NEC) and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) rules and regulations
  • Implementing safety and security practices
