Wisconsin Biographies

Wisconsin is shaped by people who have made history. The Wisconsin Biographies collection brings their stories to life for learners today with animated videos, digital books, historical images, and activity ideas. Mildred Fish-Harnack’s experiences growing up in Milwaukee and learning about German culture would change her life and the world. She joined the resistance against Hitler and the Nazi party and shared information that helped to defeat them. Her dedication to equal rights and saving the lives of others has never been forgotten.
