How did this baker brighten our summer?
Zander’s bakes beamed with family love and intergenerational knowledge-sharing so vital to our food traditions. The teaching and learning between Zander, his aunt, his father and grandmother not only helped Zander develop new cooking skills but produced cherished memories far sweeter than pie.

Our widest smiles of the summer came upon seeing Zander’s “Grandma’s Sour Cherry Pie.” With cherries from Grandma’s tree, Zander created a Wisconsin pie worthy of a picnic table, bakery case or a state tourism magazine. Brilliant, Zander!
