Savory Pithivier

Give your dessert a clever name — and tell us about your recipe.

Phyllo Pizza Pithivier — I used Phyllo dough instead of Puff Pastry since we had some leftover from last week. My Dad and I made homemade Spaghetti Sauce this morning and I used that along with basil from our garden, sausage and fresh mozzarella.

What was the biggest surprise during your baking journey? Did you use any unconventional approaches? What did you learn along the way? Tell us about it!

Phyllo dough can get dry really easily. I used Phyllo dough instead of puff pastry and I couldn't get the cuts that it needed.

How did you add a Wisconsin twist to your flavors or decoration?

I used eggs from my neighbor, tomatoes and basil from our garden.
