Summer Berry Jam-Filled Doughnuts
Now that you’ve survived this challenge, what words of wisdom can you share?
I didn’t like the British recipe I used but am trying to widen my horizons. Patience is key; make sure not to rush the dough rising, and wait for the oil to get to the correct temperature.
Tell us about how you added a Wisconsin twist.
The essence of summertime in Wisconsin is using the land's bounty. I take great pride in being able to collect my own eggs from our chickens and heading to the garden to pick fresh berries. I made the jam filling from the raspberries and some black caps (black raspberries).
