Summer Berry Rum Baba
I used Paul Hollywood’s recipe. I had never made these before, actually had never heard of them so I thought this would be the perfect challenge for me.
Tell us about your proudest moment – or humble failure – in this week’s baking challenge.
Overall the recipe went well. I have never kneaded butter into dough so that was interesting. I think my dough was dryer than it was supposed to be, because it was very hard to squeeze out of the pastry bag.
Describe how you added a Wisconsin twist to your creation.
I used eggs from my free-roaming chickens, which made the dough look a little more yellow than the recipe shows. I also used fresh Wisconsin strawberries from my garden. It’s strawberry season so wanted to highlight them!
