Wisconsin Cream Pie Cheesecake
Was your pie underbaked, overbaked or just right? What was your favorite part of the process?
My cheesecake was baked just right! No cracking or browning. This cheesecake has the components of a Boston Cream Pie. It has a layer of white cake on the bottom then a layer of chocolate ganache followed by the cheesecake. It is topped with pastry cream and decorated with more chocolate ganache. My favorite part was working with the chocolate.
How did you add a Wisconsin touch to your flavors or decoration?
I used eggs from our chickens. This cake has lots of dairy in it which Wisconsin is known for. I have to admit that not all of it is from this fine state. I added the shape of the state of Wisconsin on the top as my main Wisconsin touch. I made this cake for my daughter’s golden birthday celebration.
