Jumble Biscuits
Give your baked creation a name and tell us about your flavors. Also, what are you most proud of?
Basket of Jumble Violets. I used Paul’s recipe and used the three flavorings called for, but substituted cheddar for the lemon zest.
The key to this week’s challenge is your creative presentation. Describe your display.
I placed my flower shaped biscuits into a basket because I like the rustic look of bread in baskets. I also made a few knots.
It’s Wisconsin Week, so you need to showcase a super Wisconsin twist to your recipe and/or arrangement. Tell us about it.
I used chedder cheese in the biscuits and "twisted" them into the shape of Wisconsin’s State Flower. I placed Wisconsin cheddar and parmesan in the center of the violets to represent the striped center of the flower. My dough ended up yellow because of the yolks of the eggs I used, which are from our free range chickens. The egg wash added color as well.
