The batter is rich, silky and makes a moist dense cake. Sour cream, lemon zest, lots of butter, 4 eggs… this was a stellar recipe! I admit that not all of the batter got into that pan and I never like cake batter!
Describe how you added a Wisconsin twist to your creation.
Well, you’re supposed to be able to see a big "W" written in blueberries. I used the greener of my Wisconsin rhubarb to make it pop out more. I could smell the warm blueberries as I turned this cake out of the pan.The juices ran down into the cake and served warm with a little vanilla ice cream from Manitowoc’s own Cedar Crest, it is a Wisconsin winner!
