I have titled my Fraiser Cake creation using a public service announcement to “Eat Wisconsinbly,” and my dessert is in celebration of the Wisconsin Badgers' pre-season opener against Kentucky. Like most Badger-loving Wisconsinites, my family likes to tailgate or have a pregame party with good food and drink.
Tell us about your creation's final texture after baking. Are you happy with it?
The first bite of my cake is reminiscent of strawberry shortcake, but almond flavoring in the marzipan does an end-around and scores the taste-winning touchdown. My taste testers and I were very happy with the outcome.
Detail how you added a Wisconsin twist to your flavors or presentation.
For my Wisconsin twist, I used kirsch cherry liqueur from Yahara Bay Distillery in Madison. The presentation stays true to Badger colors and features a chocolate message to “Eat Wisconsinbly..”
