French Floral Lemon Tart with Meringue and Fresh Berries

Now that you survived this challenge, what words of wisdom do you have to share?

I need to listen to my own advice and bake in the morning. This is the 3rd challenge that I have been up until midnight.

Tell us about how you added a Wisconsin twist.

The inspiration for this week’s baking challenge is my mother. She turns 75 years old on Saturday, July 7. She loves to be creative in the kitchen and taught me to cook and bake at a young age. She is my inspiration everyday to appreciate my blessings, be kind to others, and enjoy life with family and friends. I wanted to bake a show-stopping tart to celebrate this milestone. One of her favorite desserts is lemon meringue pie. I found a recipe for a lemon tart and added meringue (a trial run for next week’s challenge). I used Wisconsin butter, cream and eggs as well as fresh pansies from my flower pots.
