Queen of Puddings

First Lady of Puddings
What was the biggest surprise during your baking journey? Did you use any unconventional approaches? What did you learn along the way? Tell us about it!
I surprised myself by deviating so far from the original. But I really wanted a chocolate base, and once I'd made a pudding instead of a custard, the peanut butter and marshmallow combination just seemed to fit. I would say my unique creation is definitely unconventional. Also, my husband had a brand new blow torch for using in the garage, and that's what we used to toast the marshmallows. It worked great!
How did you add a Wisconsin twist to your flavors or decoration?
My American twist was to make a chocolate pudding base, peanut butter mousse filling, and piped and toasted marshmallow on the top. It still has the spirit of the Queen of Puddings, but in a very American way. It could also be called a Peanut Butter S'mores Pie 🙂
