The filling, my concoction from looking at various recipes, is delicious. I wasn't sure I'd like the apricots, so mine is a mixture of pork, country-style short ribs, bacon and Granny Smith apples. I also added onion, thyme, sage, mustard, fish sauce, soy sauce, garlic and a touch of brown sugar.
Describe how you added a Wisconsin twist to your creation.
I paid homage to the German roots of many Wisconsin residents with the classic combination of pork and apples.
