Designer Fruit Tart
Give your tarts a name based on the flavors and decoration – and tell us about your recipe.
Red, White and Blue Four Berry Tart. I made a version of Ina Gartens fruit tart. I added lemon flavoring to the pastry creme and it tastes amazing! Went for a bike ride on our local bike trail to forage for wild back raspberries and decorated my tart to look like a version of our flag.
Now that you survived this challenge, what words of wisdom do you have to share?
Make sure not to stretch the dough when fitting it into the tart pan or it will shrink when baked. Using jelly or preserves (warmed with a little water) on top of the fruit really makes the fruit shine.
Tell us about how you added a Wisconsin twist.
I used Wild Wisconsin black raspberries and red raspberries from my garden.
