Shlimder's Cherry Jam Doughnuts
Now that you’ve survived this challenge, what words of wisdom can you share?
Nothing too terrible happened beyond overfilling a doughnut or two (three actually). These doughnuts are on the heavy side. We haven't watched the episode yet, but I'll bet we either over-proofed the dough or didn't have the oil (peanut) hot enough. To be honest, I prefer bagel making.
Tell us about how you added a Wisconsin twist.
Still doing the WI cherry theme. We made jam with cherries, sugar, orange peel, and a little corn starch. Milk, eggs and butter all Wisconsin-made too.
