How did this baker brighten our summer?
Chemistry, dahling! It’s all about chemistry. For real, members of Team Shlimder were standouts among our Stars, contemplating how ingredients, technique and heat interacted to produce success or failure — a lot of nerd talk but we’re public television so, ya know, they’re our people.

Golly we love a meat stick. There. We said it. And lucky for us Team Shlimder delivered us meat-sticks-in-a-bagel for Bread Week! Or beef sticks to be exact. . . with asiago cheese, both procured from the Madison Farmers Market. These were our faves and one of the few bagels we’ve featured among our Stars. We’ll admit we’re also hoping a joint called Shlimder’s Bagels opens in Wisconsin soon, with an outpost in the Bowery in New York City.
