Cherry Cream Roulade. I read several roulade recipes to compare the ingredients and techniques before choosing one. I love finding recipes with the ingredient amounts in weights. It is so much easier and faster than measuring cups.
What was the biggest surprise during your baking journey? Did you use any unconventional approaches? What did you learn along the way? Tell us about it!
I didn’t dust the paper as directed when turning out the cake, so it did stick to the parchment when I rolled it.
How did you add a Wisconsin twist to your flavors or decoration?
My fillings featured real Wisconsin whipped cream. I whipped in homemade tart cherry jam for flavor. I made the jam from cherries from our backyard tree when I made my Bakewell tart and had some leftover.
