24 Sweet Buns
Give your creation a name – and tell us about your recipe.
Madison Buns In A Basket: My buns are an adaption of Brittany Buns, created by Ovens of Brittany, a restaurant in Madison, Wisconsin. Twelve tablespoons of butter made the dough very creamy and the addition of dried fruits and pecans made my adapted recipe tastier than ever.
Now that you’ve survived this challenge, what words of wisdom can you share?
I short-cutted the recipe by not refrigerating the dough for two or more hours before rolling it out, making forming into buns more difficult. (Patience is NOT by strong suit!) But the finished product was a jolly good reason to greet the new day with a cuppa.
Tell us about how you added a Wisconsin twist.
I used a Wisconsin recipe, added dried cranberries from my friend's bog and showcased my efforts on a state of Wisconsin cutting board.
