Tri-State Strudel. One Wisconsinite + one Hoosier + Michigan cottage vacation = Delicious Dessert. We used a traditional Austrian apple strudel recipe found online.
What was the biggest surprise during your baking journey? Did you use any unconventional approaches? What did you learn along the way? Tell us about it!
We were surprised by how thin we stretched the dough and its cloth-like texture. We learned that we make a good aunt-nephew baking team. Neither of us had made strudel before, but our collaboration was deemed delicious by the rest of the family.
How did you add a Wisconsin twist to your flavors or decoration?
This week's challenge landed during our annual family vacation in Michigan. Rebecca brought most of the equipment and non-perishable ingredients from Wisconsin across Lake Michigan.
