Wisconsin Summer Chelsea Buns

Now that you’ve survived this challenge, what words of wisdom can you share?

It's fun to play with ingredients, especially when they're fresh and in season. Blueberry and basil is one of my favorite combinations. Also, getting a proper rise can be a challenge on hot Wisconsin summer days, especially when a storm comes through, mid rise, and drops the temperature outside about twenty degrees. I had to watch the rise carefully today!

Tell us about how you added a Wisconsin twist.

These buns feature some of the best summer produce around. There's freshly picked blueberries from a nearby patch, and basil (genovese and lemon) from my garden. As a bonus, there's milk from western Wisconsin jersey cows!
