Chocolate Date Night – I made chocolate steamed puddings with chocolate ganache and cherries, as well as date puddings with whiskey whipped cream.
What was the biggest surprise during your baking journey? Did you use any unconventional approaches? What did you learn along the way? Tell us about it!
The biggest surprise in this challenge was how much the puddings rose. I wasn’t expecting very much of a rise, so I overfilled the molds with batter. Also, these were quite tricky to remove from the molds. The date ones came out fairly easily, but the chocolate ones did not do as well. Definitely needed to butter those molds!
How did you add a Wisconsin twist to your flavors or decoration?
I used an egg from my chickens and Wisconsin cherries for the chocolate steamed puddings. I used Wisconsin cream for the whipped cream on the date puddings.
