Proudest Moment: making a beautiful, full puff pastry. Humble Failure: Soggy Interior. The bottom was crisp as was the exterior, but everything on the inside was so wet & mushy. So sad!
Describe how you added a Wisconsin twist to your creation.
This was my ode to our Rhinelander Hodag. I created a little puff pastry Hodag on the exterior of my Wellington and put slash marks into the top to symbolize the Hodag’s claws. I went with ground turkey for a “gamey” flavor as I imagine a Hodag would taste gamey. I also put in fresh spinach with the meat for a green effect because Hodag’s are green.
