Give your dessert a clever name — and tell us about your recipe.

Savory Kringle — I made a kringle dough (similar to puff) and sautéed some mushrooms, onions and bell pepper. I layered that with cheese, spinach and sauce so it ended up being similar to a calzone.

What was the biggest surprise during your baking journey? Did you use any unconventional approaches? What did you learn along the way? Tell us about it!

It took longer to bake but got colour early on so I had to put a sheet of tin foil over it during the last bit of baking time.

How did you add a Wisconsin twist to your flavors or decoration?

I made a kringle dough instead of puff pastry
