How did this baker brighten our summer?
From America to France to the Middle East, Mary Jane displayed a curiosity about new (to her) food cultures and perseverance to go the Star Baker mile. With snacks!

With respect to naming a bake, we like a name that tells us what it is and tells it as it is — the no-nonsense Wisconsin way. Mary Jane’s “Variety of Delicious Crackers” meets both of these criteria. Boy o’ boy does it?! She made 4 varieties from scratch for Biscuits Week: 1) poppy seed crackers, 2) tomato paste crackers with parmesan cheese and sesame seeds, 3) cheddar cheese and garlic crackers with sesame seeds, and 4) pesto crackers. She used Wisconsin cheese, eggs, garlic and butter.

Mary Jane showed us the value of family heirlooms. A large iron skillet passed down from her mother made one of the most gorgeous apricot-peach upside down cakes we’ve ever seen! (Check out Week 1.)
