Treacle Tart

Maple Treacle – I followed Mary Berry’s own Treacle Tart recipe and tweaked it to add my Wisconsin Twist of Wisconsin-made maple syrup. The lemon and the maple taste so great together! Who knew?

Tell us about how you added a Wisconsin twist.

This week I went basic and simple and substituted Wisconsin-made maple syrup in place of it’s British counterpart, golden syrup. It was an easy way to enhance this recipe and turned out delish! This is the first time I’ve ever done a lattice decoration in baking. I’ve learned a lot and am very confident my next bake will be even more beautiful!
