I did the chiffon cake.
Give your dessert a clever name — and tell us about your recipe.
Wisconsin "You Said It All" Cake. The cake turned out wonderful and felt like a cloud. I made my own cool Whip and spread it around the cake. Then I sprinkled sprinkles all over the cake. I used colorful sprinkles because they represent everything that we are blessed to have in Wisconsin.
What was the biggest surprise during your baking journey? Did you use any unconventional approaches? What did you learn along the way? Tell us about it!
Yes I tried a new frosting I saw on YouTube because I didn’t want to put anything heavy on like buttercream.
How did you add a Wisconsin twist to your flavors or decoration?
I used colorful sprinkles. I used them to represent everything in Wisconsin — the red sprinkles for the Wisconsin Badgers and Door County cherries, the yellow for the cheese we have, and the orange/yellow/red for the colorful leaves in the fall!
How did you do?
I participated in all 10 Great Wisconsin Baking challenges this summer — I’m a Star Baker!
