How did this baker brighten our summer?
Lydia never dwelled on her baking struggles, rather expressed how much fun she was having with each submission. A first-time bagel maker, a sculptor of sugar art, a baker who loves to share with her family, Lydia brought so much more to the Baking Challenge than Peanut Butter Perfection (though that was super awesome and delicious).
Our favorite Wisconsin Twist (pictured)!
Lydia’s magnificent “Four Seasons Cake” is our favorite twist, especially when we hear Lydia describe it: “My Wisconsin twist was showing the state’s four seasons. We are lucky to have four such different seasons and I love something about each of them. Winter: I love skiing, sledding, skating. Spring: Everything starts to warm up, and I love planting flowers in our garden. Summer: Fast-pitch softball, family vacation, swimming, parks. Fall: All the colors are so pretty; I love picking apples, making applesauce, campfires, pumpkins. Wisconsin is the best place to live!” You’ve summed it up, Lydia!
