Lilly's Sweet and Savory Choux Pastries. My mom and I made a fluffy choux pastry recipe, then decided to do something sweet and savory with the pastries. For the savory pastry, we combined whipped cream cheese and braunschweiger for the filling. For something sweet, we made a s'more with the choux pastry.
Tell us about your creation's final texture after baking. Are you happy with it?
The choux pastry was fluffy and delicious. I'm very happy with it.
Detail how you added a Wisconsin twist to your flavors or presentation.
For a Wisconsin twist on the savory pastry, I used braunschweiger from a meat market close to our house. As for the s'more pastry, we cooked the marshmallows over a campfire, up north at our family cottage on Labor Day weekend. That is a very "Wisconsin" thing to do. (;
