“Looks Can Be Deceiving” Cake

This is the worst thing I’ve ever baked. I didn’t have a mixer so the eggs didn’t get fluffy enough for the sponge. The cream was a jellylike texture and tasted off. Since the cake didn’t rise, I cut it in half and made a half cake. My roommates and I each tried a bite, ate the strawberries off the side, and threw it in the garbage.

Tell us about your creation's final texture after baking. Are you happy with it?

Awful! The sponge was extremely eggy and dense. The cream was jellylike and began to separate it once we put it on the cake. A complete failure all around!

Detail how you added a Wisconsin twist to your flavors or presentation.

I used Wisconsin butter and eggs. What a waste…

Totally failed … and still laughing.
