Family Sized Roulade

Lavender Angel Lemon Cream Roulade.
What was the biggest surprise during your baking journey? Did you use any unconventional approaches? What did you learn along the way? Tell us about it!
The biggest surprise was easily getting the cake out of the pan and on to a tea towel. The most difficult part was the rolling; I don’t think I let it cool long enough rolled in the tea towel, so it cracked when I unrolled it to add the lemon curd and cream filling, this the big seam down the side of my roulade.
How did you add a Wisconsin twist to your flavors or decoration?
I tried more culinary lavender from Door County, by adding some to the sugar for the angel food cake, and some to the cream filling.
How did you do?
It’s not pretty, but it’s edible.
