Designer Fruit Tart
Give your tarts a name based on the flavors and decoration – and tell us about your recipe.
Old World fruit tart. I designed the fruit so that it looked like the Clausing Octagonal Barn at Old world Wisconsin. The pastry was a little disappointing but I made a delicious vanilla crepe patissiere. I used kiwis, strawberries, blueberries and raspberries for the fruit.

DO NOT PUT TOO MUCH SUGAR IN THE PASTRY! The recipe that I was using called for 1/4 cup of sugar. Instead I put 3/4 of a cup. It tasted like a sugar cookie and not that bad.
Tell us about how you added a Wisconsin twist.
I used milk and butter from Organic Valley, raspberries from my garden and locally grown blueberries. The eggs were from the farmers’ market. And then my design is the barn at Old World Wisconsin.
