The Milwaukee Brewers Racing Sausage Rolls. Since I baked so late,I only had time to make the sausage rolls. Instead of using puff pastry, I used a yeasted pretzel dough. I also did not have time to find all the the different types of sausage that make up the racing sausage team, so I just used hot dogs.I even boiled the dough for a minute so then I got a pretzel touch to the dough.
What was your favorite thing about The Great Wisconsin Baking challenge overall (whether you participated in one or all challenges)? What did you learn from this final challenge? What are you most proud of when it comes to your bake?
I am really starting to be more confident about baking cakes. Before the challenge started,I just had a huge disappointment whenever I baked a cake. Now I can make a genoise sponge.
Did you incorporate three local ingredients into your Final creation? Tell us about your Wisconsin twist!
The theme this week were the Milwaukee brewers. I used real Organic Valley hot dogs and real Wisconsin butter, and even Driftless Organics sunflower oil.
How did you do?
