Give your biscuits a name and tell us about your recipe.
Whole Wheat Graham Crackers – I love graham crackers! As a child and still now, I could slather peanut butter or frosting on them and eat them endlessly. This is the grown version of the store-bought variety with whole wheat flour, Vietnamese cinnamon, and golden syrup.
Would you describe yourself as a rogue baker, or do you strictly adhere to the recipe?
I adhere to the recipe most of the time. Unless there's an obvious way to improve it or I'm purposely trying to alter it with flavor. However, sometimes I just misread the instructions. . . that's another story.
Tell us about how you added a Wisconsin twist to your creation.
An ode to spending summers sitting around the campfire in Wisconsin's beautiful woods. Every year I went to Girl Scout camp in St. Croix County. That week every summer had a huge impact on my childhood. Besides singing songs, starting fires, and learning life skills, we also enjoyed s'mores. This is my grown-up version of them with Valrhona 71% chocolate and marshmallows for s'mores made on the stovetop.
