We thought we had all the right ingredients for the cake, but when we got started we realized we had picked up dark brown sugar. It still ended up delicious, just a little bit more of a darker/burnt look then we were aiming for.
Describe how you added a Wisconsin twist to your creation.
As we were talking about making it, my 6-year-old asked if we could make a second one for a neighbor who was also gluten free. So a little Wisconsin generosity went into making a second cake (which my 6-year-old proudly did right along side me, copying each step).
