Door County Whirls. Inspired by cherry jam purchased last week in Door County, we used it for the filling and added almond extract to the buttercream.
Now that you survived this challenge, what words of wisdom do you have to share?
They are super tender and fall apart easily – wow! We made them gluten free, but I don’t think that negatively affected them. The cookie is so plain tasting that we definitely prefer them with the fillings! A beautiful European style cookie.
