Margarita Citrus Tart. Grated lemon, lime, orange, and tequila were added into the custard. Before topping with citrus slices, the flecks of orange and green looked vegetabley, so my son thought it was a quiche! 😀
Now that you survived this challenge, what words of wisdom do you have to share?
Double up on the crust’s edge as it tends to brown faster than the bottom. This also helped it to pull away from the pan on it’s own. I would not recommend using a mandoline slicer for thin citrus slices. I basically made pulp out of the first lime! Hand sliced worked best.
Tell us about how you added a Wisconsin twist.
Wisconsin butter in the crust, cream in the custard, and local eggs for both.
How did you do?
