"Remembering Summer" Chiffon Cake. Each summer, my family picks and freezes strawberries for the winter. This summer, we also took up the family hobby of making ice cream. So to recall our summer, I decorated each piece with some of our strawberries and a fresh batch of homemade ice cream.
What was the biggest surprise during your baking journey? Did you use any unconventional approaches? What did you learn along the way? Tell us about it!
I loved learning the differences between angel food and chiffon — they are certainly not the same thing even though they look it!
How did you add a Wisconsin twist to your flavors or decoration?
The strawberries, eggs, and dairy are all from WI.
