Marzipan Centerpiece

Give your baked creation a name and tell us about your flavors. Also, what are you most proud of?

Milwaukee Sunshine Cake from the historic Cook Tea Shop in Milwaukee. It is a variation of an angel food cake with layers of custard and a boiled white icing that tastes like marshmallow.

The key to this week’s challenge is your creative presentation. Describe your display.

My display features the Milwaukee skyline made out of marzipan.

It’s Wisconsin Week, so you need to showcase a super Wisconsin twist to your recipe and/or arrangement. Tell us about it.

This recipe originated in Milwaukee in 1901 and is still available today at the Watts Tea Shop. Pushing the Milwaukee theme to its fullest, I made the Milwaukee skyline out of marzipan to serve as a tri centerpiece.
