How did this baker brighten our summer?
Jill is a hobby farmer, and the active work of harvesting — be it berries, root veggies, meat or apples — permeated her submissions with a special quality that reminds us to think about the landscape and labor of our food.

A classic done just right, Jill's “Orchard Apple, Cinnamon & Cranberry Almond Strudel” for Puddings Week grew out of her own orchard in southwestern Wisconsin. We celebrate growers and food producers of all stripes in the state for their dedication and vital contribution to the food system. Got any autumn cider, Jill?
