Yorkshire Pudding
Give your batter creation a name – and tell us about your recipe.
Gordon Ramsay’s Yorkshire Pudding Recipe — which I made with our farm fresh eggs (and why it is so yellow)! This was surprisingly easy and as a result I will likely make this again. We grilled steaks for the 4th of July and had chimichurri dressing and other sides like "beer cheese dip" and "quinoa cucumber kale salad." All of these sides, and the drippings from the steaks enhanced the flavor of the Yorkshire Pudding. I am now a fan!
Now that you’ve survived The Great British Baking Show’s first-ever batter challenge, what words of wisdom can you share?
Follow the recipe! If it says heat up the pan in the oven, heat it up. If is says, "don’t open the oven until you are sure it’s done or it will flop…." You best be sure it’s done before you open the oven.
Tell us about how you added a Wisconsin twist.
We used our farm fresh eggs, and my go-to creamery Shullsburg Creamery for the cheese, New Glarus beer for the dip, and seamlessly incorporated this new recipe in our 4th of July traditions.
How did you do?
Pleasantly satisfied.
