Almond sponge roll with marshmallow meringue and whole cherries
What was the biggest surprise during your baking journey? Did you use any unconventional approaches? What did you learn along the way? Tell us about it!
I’ve made Swiss rolls in the past, but for some reason, this roll didn’t want to cooperate with me. I had attempted to make motion W’s in red batter with the idea of them ending up on the outside of the roulade, but they peeled off when I went to roll the cake. Luckily, I had extra marshmallow meringue to pipe all over to cover up such mistakes!
How did you add a Wisconsin twist to your flavors or decoration?
Cherries on top and throughout the roll!
